Charity shop treats! #fridaytreatmovement

For me there is nothing as lovely as a browse in a charity shop or vintage store (I think some people call them junk shops!) So this afternoon with hubby at home I was able to pop out for a child free food shop and managed to find enough time to squeeze in a trip to my favourite local charity shop Returned to Glory. This shop is full of gorgeous vintage finds- fabric, china and furniture. Today I found a lovely piece of fabric for the Mothers Day cards I’ve been making, a beautiful vintage tin to add to my collection (I’m sure I can find something to store inside!) and a sweet blue and white china cup and saucer- the perfect size to hold some tulips I had just bought (I’ll be selling my Spring bulbs in vintage crockery on my stalls again this year so of course it’s essential that I experiment with different bulbs at home first 😉 !)

The best thing about charity shop shopping is that you don’t have to spend a lot to treat yourself to some real treasures. Plus you are supporting a charity (in this case The Hospice of St Francis) and doing your bit for the environment by recycling and reusing. Win win!!

So a relaxing half an hour’s browsing and the joy of bringing home some beautiful finds for my house felt like a proper treat for me today!

I hope you’ve managed to treat yourself today- I’d love to hear about it if you did!!

So pleased you’re doing planters again. My cyclamen lives on at least 18 months after being planted in a gorgeous milk jug by you (it’s still in it on my kitchen windowsill). I think it needs a chum…

That’s amazing! You must have really green fingers! Can definitely do a chum for your cyclamen!!
