Welcome to my flower patch bag crochet along!! I am so excited to be launching this because this pattern has been in my head since March and I have been slowly working away on it behind the scenes. And finally it’s ready! Pattern tested and everything (thanks Debs!!)
This is a 5 part crochet along taking place over 2 weeks. I’ve made the time span short because I think you will be keen to make more!
These are the dates you need to make a note of!
Part 1- Thursday July 9th
Part 2- Monday July 13th
Part 3- Thursday July 16th
Part 4- Monday July 20th
Part 5 – Thursday July 23rd
The bag is made from 4 different granny squares which i will release patterns for over the first 4 parts, one by one. The final part will be construction of the bag.
You will need:
This would make a FAB stash buster!!! I’ve made it with Scheepjes Stone Washed sports weight ( a cross between a 4ply and DK) and a 3mm hook. But I think it would work great with any DK yarn you have to hand, or even aran weight yarn for a bigger bag. My bag measures 37cm wide and 30cm high (not including handles).
If you would like to use the same yarn as me you will need:
Scheepjes stonewashed sports weight
2 x blue apatite 805
1x malachite 825
1 x morganite 834
1 x tourmaline 836
1 x amazonite 813
1 x lilac quartz 818
1 x red jasper 807
Plus a bamboo bag handle approx 14-16cm wide. I bought mine on amazon but you can look on ebay, any haberdashery shop or even for old bags in charity shops that you can cut the handles off of.
Don’t forget I also have the kit available to buy here!!
If you decide to stash bust you will need approx 200g DK yarn and a pair of 14-16cm wide bag handles.
I will also show you how to line your bag but that’s optional!!
So that’s all you need to know for now.
You can sign up for the CAL here: https://re-madebysam.com/product/flower-patch-bag-crochet-along/
Don’t forget to join the crochet along facebook group where you can share any questions. Once you’ve signed up, I’ll send out an the week before the 9th with info about how to access the CAL patterns when they’re released.
Can’t wait to get started!!
